Asus introduced the ZenWatch 2 at the Computex 2015 back in June. It went on sale in the U.S. through Google Store earlier this month for $149.99. It comes in two models, W1501Q with a 1.63″ (320×320 pixels) 278ppi AMOLED display and WI502Q with a 1.45″ (280×280 pixels) 273ppi AMOLED display.We had already seen hands-on impression of the Android Wear Smartwatch, here we have the unboxing of the W1501Q version.

The Asus ZenWatch 2 (WI501Q) has a 1.63″ (320×320 pixels) 278ppi AMOLED display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. Running on Android Wear OS, it has 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of storage, similar to most other Android Wear smartwatches. It connects to your Android phone over Bluetooth 4.1 and lets you manage it using ZenWatch Manager app and also has Wi-Fi support.

It comes with a stainless-steel case and has a crown button that looks like a traditional watch. It measures 49.6 x 40.7 x 9.5 mm and weighs 70 grams. Our version has Navy Blue leather strap, but it also comes with rubber or metal straps for $129 and $199, respectively. It also comes in Rose Gold and Silver colors.

It has a pogo pin slot on the back. It has a built-in microphone for voice commands, has IP67 ratings for dust and water resistance and 6 Axis (gyrometer and accelerometer) sensors, but it doesn’t have heart rate sensor. It packs a 400mAh battery that promises over 24 hours of battery life and charges up to 70% in less than an hour. Asus did not announce when it plans to launch the smartwatch in India.
