Apple Music for Android screenshots leaked

Apple had announced in June that it will bring Apple Music streaming platform to Android in fall. Now a couple of leaked screenshots of the Android app of the service have surfaced in a new leak.

German website Mobile Geeks has leaked the screenshots that show the first look of the Apple Music app for Android. As per the screenshots, we can see that the app comes with Beats 1 Radio and a recommendations page. The Android version of Apple Music falls in line with its iOS counterpart in terms of design and has the For You, New, Radio, Connect, Playlist and My Music sections. It can also save music offline and allows you to set the cache size.

In order to navigate to the different sections Android users will have a familiar hamburger menu that swipes over from the left side. The Settings menu shows the ability to set downloads to occur only over Wi-Fi, and the user can set a limit on local storage used by the app. Last week, CEO Tim Cook announced that Apple Music streaming platform has 6.5 million paying subscribers and 8.5 million trial users. Apple Music currently costs $10 a month or $15 a month with a family subscription. Released on June 30 with the iOS 8.4 update, Apple Music is the company’s answer to other music-streaming services, such as Spotify, Pandora and Rdio.
