iQor, a globally known aftermarket service provider, has announced its plan to invest $200 million for building pan-India service network.
The company has been providing services for different OEMs since 2006 in India. Currently it operates depot repair/ refurbishment services at facilities in Manesar (Gurgaon), Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore. iQor also provides services for walk-in centers and on-site services in 82 cities and 17 states, but by the end of 2015 it aims its footprint to 115 locations in 109 states and 22 states. It operates a 1,000-seat contact center in Noida (Delhi National Capital Region).
iQor India employs 4,000 people as of today and has plans to create 20,000 more job opportunities across India near future. Part of the growth will come from the two new repair depot hubs in Chennai and Hyderabad, as well as new walk-in service centers along with on-site services for smartphones, tablets, desktop computers, notebooks, digital players and consumer products manufacturers. Globally, the company has over 32,000 employees, and provides services in 66 countries and 5 continents for 60 top global brands including Apple, Samsung, HP etc.
With revenue over $1.5 billion, iQor claims to be the largest aftermarket services provider in the world after acquiring the third largest electronics manufacturing services Jabil.
