OnePlus launched the OnePlus X smartphone last week. The Onyx edition of the OnePlus X goes on sale next week for Rs. 16,999. We already brought you the hands-on impressions of the smartphone from the event and also the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have the hardware walk through of the phone in the form of photo gallery.
The OnePlus X packs a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone has a curved glass on the front. It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU and has 3GB of RAM.
It has a 8-megapixel camera on the front with OmniVision OV8858 sensor, wide-angle lens and f/2.4 aperture. There are the usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors next to the earpiece.
There are capacitive touch buttons for back, home and menu are present below the display. These are not backlit, but offer haptic feedback when pressed.
The smartphone has brushed anodized metal frame and it is just 6.9mm thick. It is 140mm tall and is 69mm wide.
The power button and volume rockers are present on the right side, along with the hybrid SIM slot. This lets you use two nano SIMs or one nano SIM and a microSD card.
On the left side there is an an alert slider, a hardware toggle to switch between No Notifications, Priority Notifications, and All Notifications, similar to the OnePlus 2.
The secondary microphone and the 3.5mm audio jack are present on the top.
The loudspeaker grill, micro USB slot and a primary microphone are present on the bottom. You can also see cutouts for antenna.
On the back there is a 13-megapixel camera on the back with single LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), ISOCELL 32M sensor, f/2.2 aperture and 1080p video recording. You can also see the OnePlus branding below the camera.
The glass back has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and offers a nice mirror finish. It packs a 2525mAh built-in battery and supports fast charging. The Onyx version we have here weighs 138 grams, but the Ceramic version is bit heavy at 160 grams.
The OnePlus X Onyx version will be available for purchase in India from tomorrow with an invite for Rs. 16,999, exclusively on Amazon.in. The Ceramic version will be available through Ceramic-specific invite starting November 24th. OnePlus already said that weekly open sales for the OnePlus X will begin from December.
