Samsung and Oculus announced a new Gear VR headset aimed at consumers, back in September. Now the latest Gear VR headset is available for pre-order in the U.S. It is compatible with Samsung Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge smartphones.
It is 22% lighter than previous Gear VR Innovator Edition, has an improved touchpad that provides easier control to access films, gaming, 360 degree video and experiential content available for Gear VR and also comes with a new foam cushioning to make the device more comfortable to wear.

The new Samsung Gear VR comes in Frost White color, is priced at $99.99 (Rs. 6600 approx.), is available for pre-order on Samsung.com, Amazon.com and BestBuy.com, and will begin shipping from November 20. Samsung said that it will be available from BestBuy, as early as November 20 and from T-Mobile beginning November 27 in stores and online. It will also come to AT&T in future. Samsung did not reveal any details about its global roll out yet.
