Meitu V4 is a smartphone with a 21 Megapixel selfie camera

Selfie centric phones are quite the rage nowadays and perhaps there is no phone that could surpass the Meitu V4 at least in terms of sheer Megapixel count as it has a 21 Megapixel front facing camera.

Meitu is a relatively unknown brand from China but it seems to have gone all out when making the V4. Aside from the 21 Megapixel front facing camera, the V4 also has a 21 Megapixel rear camera which also has a dual tone LED flash to assist it.

The design of the smartphone closely resembles the Micromax Canvas Selfie but with a few changes. The V4 packs a 5 inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6795 processor and has PowerVR G6200 GPU. There is 3GB of RAM and 64GB of on board storage.

The device will run on Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box with MeiOS 2.5 on top. The device has a 2650mAH battery under the hood and will support 4G LTE. The top and bottom parts of made out of metal and the phone will be available in three colour variants. A white variant with pink accents, a turquoise variant and an all pink variant. The device will be available at a price of 3499 Yuan (Around US$ 548 or Rs 36,000) when it goes on sale in China.
