Xiaomi today introduced Mi Air Purifier 2, successor of the company’s first Air Purifier that was introduced last year. This compact second generation air purifier from Xiaomi is smaller, measuring just 240mm x 520mm is 11% quieter and is 58% power efficient compared to the fist Mi Air Purifier. It can be controlled using an app, similar to the first one.
It has 3-layered filter that promises to remove 99.99% of PM2.5 particles and produces about 10,000 liters with Clean Air Delivery Rate of 330m3/h in standard mode and 338m3/h in active mode. It has new air pressurization system that includes axial fan, brushless DC motor and a Francis fan design and conical duct. It has built-in WiFi module 802.11b/g/n that connects to your home WiFi network so that you can access it via app.
The Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2 is priced at 699 Yuan (US$ 109 / Rs. 7,255 approx), cheaper than the first one. It goes on sale in China from November 27th.
