HTC has announced that it will release Android Marshmallow update for unlocked One M8. HTC’s VP of Product Management, Mo Versi revealed that same via his official Twitter account.
Versi tweeted that that testing has been completed on the unlocked HTC One M8 and the update will begin pushing out within 24 hours. The Marshmallow update brings a variety of improvements to the One M8, like Doze, enhanced permission controls and much more. One M8 users can either wait for a notification from the device or can manually check for the update in the Settings app.
HTC has yet to roll out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for its flagship One M9. This means that those who have the unlocked version of the One M8 will get the latest Android OS before the One M9. HTC had earlier stated that both the unlocked One M9 and M8 will receive Marshmallow by the year’s end.
