Xiaomi Mi 5 render surfaces, tipped to be announced on January 21

Leaks and reports about the Xiaomi Mi 5 have been going around for months. Now  new render of the next flagship phone from Xiaomi has surfaced online that shows the front of the phone.

As per the leaked render, the phone sports a physical home button at the center. If the leak is authentic, this will be the first Xiaomi device to have a physical home button and it is touted that the button will act as a fingerprint scanner. In addition to the render, the latest leak also provides information about the launch date of the phone. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is rumored to be announced on January 21 2016, while the actual launch is scheduled for sometime in February.

Previous rumors had suggested that the Mi 5 will feature an all metal design and sport a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen with 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 21-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone is also said to offer Force Touch feature.
