Instagram updates Boomerang app with new features

Earlier in October, Instagram had launched Boomerang app that creates GIF like looping videos. Now, the popular photo sharing app is bringing a bunch of new features to the app that is available on Android and iOS.

Instagram says that the latest update makes it easier to create and share Boomerang videos. Now, when you shoot videos using the app, they will not be saved directly to your phones camera roll. Instead, now you have the ability to shoot videos and save only the best ones in your device. Prior to this update, the videos would automatically get saved on your phone’s camera roll. You can instantly share the video on Instagram or other social media after saving the video.

The latest update adds a nifty feature to its iPhone and iPad app as you can now take videos in the dark using your device’s flash. Moving on, you can even control the length of your video for up to 20 frames. The changelog on the iOS app version 1.2 includes these new features but the Android app is still on version 1.1.1 and does not mention any changes.
