Huawei P9, a new phone in the company’s P series is expected to be launched at the upcoming CES 2016. According to a analyst on Weibo, Huawei P9 will come with a whopping 6GB RAM.
It is tipped that the phone will be powered by the recently announced Kirin 950 Octa-Core 16nm SoC with Mali T880 GPU. Kirin 950 is an Octa-Core SoC with four ARM Cortex A72 Cores that can be clocked up to 2.53 GHz and four ARM Cortex A53 Cores that can be clocked up to 1.8 GHz. Other specifications of the Huawei P9 are tipped to be a 13MP rear camera that will come with a dual camera setup. The phone will also come equipped with a fingerprint scanner. In case of the screen, the P9 is expected to sport a 5.2 inch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution.
Huawei is also tipped to launch Honor X3 tablet at CES 2016 that will sport a 6.2 inch display and will be powered by Kirin 950 Soc. It is said to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top and come with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. In 2015, Huawei claimed to ship over 100 million smartphones and is currently ranked as the third largest smartphone maker in the world.
