Toshiba DynaPad 2-in-1 Windows tablet available for pre-order in the US for $569.99

Toshiba had announced the 12 inch DynaPad 2-in-1 Windows tablet in October last year after it was showcased at IFA in September. Now the company has announced the availability of the tablet.

The dynaPad features a 12-inch diagonal WUXGA+ (1920×1280) IPS display, with wide viewing angles. The display also packs in a dual-layer anti-reflection and anti-fingerprint coating. It is powered by a 1.44-GHz Atom processor and 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. It features 2MP front-facing camera and dual-array TruTalk mics for video chatting and an 8MP rear camera with auto-focus. The DynaPad includes two Micro USB 2.0 ports, a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB cards and a Micro HDMI port for connecting to external devices. In addition, the device includes ultrafast 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

In addition, Toshiba offers a special keyboard dock for its dynaPad, which can be used to convert the slate into a laptop. Without its keyboard, the DynaPad measures 6.9mm and weighs 1.28 pounds. With the keyboard folded in, that weight is increased to about 996 grams, and height to 14.9 millimeters. The tablet comes with a metal mesh sensor technology, combined with a high-performance, high-precision Wacom Active Electrostatics (ES) TruPen with 2,048 levels of pressure.

The Toshiba Dynapad 12 inch 2-in-1 Windows tablet is priced at $569.99 and is up for pre-order from company’s website and will hit Microsoft Stores in late January.
