We were at the show floor today and we were able to spend some time with the Huawei’s latest product. Here’s what we think about it –

Firstly, the MediaPad M2 10.0 shouldn’t be confused to Huawei’s MediaPad M2 8.0. For starters, they are two different models. The huge display is of the resolution 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and accounts to a pixel density of 226 ppi. The screen is not as sharp as we would have liked, but you’ll still have a hard time differentiating pixels.

The build quality is what impresses us. It’s made up of metal and it feels premium. The weight is well distributed across the device and gives a nice feeling in the hands.

Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 is powered by a Kirin 930 chipset with a quad-core processor and Mali-T628 GPU. The slate is available in two different versions – 2GB RAM and 16GB memory or 3GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage. It’s impossible to have a final say on the performance just yet, but it looks like the device is capable of handling tough tasks.

The device comes with a Harman Kardon speaker setup and has a dedicted bass speakers and two treble speakers. The show floor was crowded and it was wasn’t the best place on the planet to test the speakers, but we could still hear it loud and clear. So, it clearly has got some potential.
Fingerprint reader on the Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 is mounted under the home button on the front of the device. It’s quite fast and easily recognizes fingerprints.

The stylus designed exclusively for the tablet supports 2048 pressure levels and Huawei calls it M-Pen. It is also said to offer real pen-like experience, but we will confirm that once we play with it.
