Intel Compute Stick with Core M processors, 4K support announced

Intel has introduced two new Compute Stick models with Core M and Intel Atom x5 processors at the CES this year. The core m5 and core m3 versions have 4K support, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the Intel Atom version has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Both these have Intel 802.11ac WiFi, microSD expansion slot and a USB 3.0 port.

  • 4GB DDR3 RAM, 64GB internal storage, Micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB)
  • Windows 10 (STK2M3W64CC)
  • Intel 802.11ac WiFi (Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 8260), Bluetooth 4.2, 1x USB 3.0 on device and 2x USB 3.0 on power adapter, HDMI 1.4b
  • Intel HD Audio via HDMI, supporting multi-channel digital audio
  • DImensions: 114x38x12mm
  • Power cable, 5V / 4A wall-mount AC-DC power adapter with 2 USB 3.0 ports

Intel Compute Stick (STK1AW32SC, STK1A32SC) specifications

  • Quad-Core Intel Atom x5-Z8300 Processor with Intel HD Graphics
  • 2GB DDR3 RAM, 32GB internal storage, Micro SD card slot (up to 128 GB)
  • Windows 10 (STK1AW32SC)
  • Intel 802.11ac WiFi (Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 7265), Bluetooth 4.0, 1 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 2.0, HDMI 1.4b
  • Intel HD Audio via HDMI, supporting multi-channel digital audio
  • DImensions: 114x38x12mm
  • Micro USB power connector, 5V / 3A wall-mount AC-DC power adapter

The Intel Compute Stick Core m3 version will cost about $400 (Rs. 26730 approx.) with Windows 10 and about $300 (Rs. 20,050 approx.) with no OS. The m5 version costs $499 (Rs. 33,350 approx.) and is only being offered with no operating system. The Atom version is priced at $159 (Rs. 10,625 approx.) with Windows 10, no details of how much the OS-free version will cost. All these new Intel Compute Stick versions will go on sale in February 2016.
