Exynos 8890 powered variant of Samsung Galaxy S7 appears on AnTuTu

It has been rumoured for quite a while that the Galaxy S7 and its variants will come with both Exynos as well as Snapdragon processors. The Snapdragon 820 processor variant of the S7 has made several appearances online and now the Exynos variant of the S7 has been confirmed as well thanks to a new listing on AnTuTu.

The last time it showed up on Geekbench, it posted very impressive results. The new listing on AnTuTu shows a Galaxy S7 powered by the Exynos 8890 processor. The specifications of the phone are 4GB of RAM, 64GB ROM and an Exynos 8890 processor.

The screen is a 5.1″ 1440p display and the edge and edge+ variants will be curved screens to the mix as well. The camera resolution has been reduced to 12 Megapixel but it has a new BRITECELL sensor that offers much better quality and improved low light performance which we appreciate. There is a 5 Megapixel sensor up front as well.

The Exynos 8890 is more or less on the same league as the Snapdragon 820 and as a result we expect a similar performance from it. The listing doesn’t reveal any scores yet but we expect it to post a score that tops 130,000.

The Galaxy S7 along with the S7 edge and S7 edge+ are expected to make an appearence during MWC 2016 in Barcelona, Spain. There might also be a Galaxy S7 + which is expected to be a larger screen variant of the regular S7.
