Google updates Chrome for iOS – Improved speed and stability

Google has just released the first update to Chrome for iOS in 2016. It brings about improved speed and stability while browsing.

The new version is V48 and the latest version available on the App Store currently is 48.0.2564.87. The crash rate for the updated browser has been reduced by as much as 70% compared to the older version. The browsing speeds are also much higher thanks to a faster JavaScript execution.

The icons in the new tab page have now been redesigned to provide easier access to your most frequently visited websites. There is also a Spotlight integration where users can either swipe down or right from the homescreen to search for their Chrome bookmarks. These changes will be available with the latest version of Chrome on iOS. All you have to do is head to the App Store from the source below and update it.
