Samsung launched the A7 (2016) smartphone in India for Rs. 33,400 at the Samsung Forum 2016 event in Malaysia earlier today. We are live at the event and went hands on with the phone, so let’s take a detailed look at the hardware and specifications of the phone in this photo gallery.

The Galaxy A7 sports a 5.5-inch FHD (1920×1080) Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.6GHz Octa Core processor. Running Android 5.1 (Lollipop), the phone comes with 3GB RAM, 16GB Internal storage that is expandable upto 128GB via micro SD card. It has a 5MP front camera with F1.9 aperture, comes with the usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors.
The Samsung branding and earpiece is present at the center. The trademark home button on the bezel at the center is baked in with a fingerprint sensor. There are two capacitive touch buttons on either side of the home button.
Volume rocker keys are present on the left side of the phone. The phone measures 151.5 x 74.1 x 7.3mm and weighs 172 grams.
The power/lock button is situated on the left side of the phone. Also present is a dual SIM card slot along with a separate SD.
At the back, the phone has a 13MP rear camera with OIS (F1.9). The Samsung and Duos branding is present at the back.
Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v 4.1, ANT+, USB 2.0, NFC (UICC, eSE). It comes with a 3000mAh battery and supports Fast Charging. The smartphone will go on sale in India exclusively through Snapdeal online and through offline stores starting from February 15th.
