Bing for iPhone and Android

Microsoft has updated its Bing Search app for Android and iPhone. The new Android app now offers snapshots of information, available on-tap and in-context, while using other apps. This feature was already available for iPhone. Both the apps also get new features such as barcode scanner that lets you compare product prices from online catalogs of major retailers and GasBuddy feature to find cheapest gas in your area.

The iPhone app has dedicated deals experience that lets you browse deals, offers and coupons by various categories. This feature will be available for the Android app soon. Check out the complete changelog below.

New features in Bing for Android v6.0

  • Redesigned homepage. One tap to see restaurants, movies, images, videos, maps, deals, attractions near you.
  • More than just web search. Take action right away with the apps you trust, along with QR scanning, more-accessible privacy controls, Bing Rewards and more.
  • Your stuff’s still here. Your bookmarks, search history, Bing Rewards credits are all here. Tap the menu to find them.

New features in Bing for iPhone 6.3

  • Deals module that does two things: barcode scanning for comparison shopping, and ability to browse offers, coupons, and discounts from nearby stores and restaurants.
  • For iPhone 6S/6S+ users, we added 3D touch support for Quick Actions, letting you go straight to barcode scanner or voice search from your home screen
  • Gas prices: Now you’ll see gas price data for gas stations nearby so you can save on gas!
  • Pins: pin your frequent and favorite bookmarks to the Today feed, so you can navigate to your favorite sites faster.
