1Password for Android gets fingerprint unlock, Material Design update and more


1Password has updated its Android app with some major features and improvements. The update that bumps the app to version 6.0 brings material design revamp that makes the UI more clean and simple with additions for a navigation drawer and toolbar. 1Password had released the 6.0 version of the app in beta last month.

Moving on, the popular password manager now adds support for the fingerprint sensor on devices running Android Marshmallow like the Nexus 5X or Nexus 6P. The update optimizes Wi-Fi Sync and adds an always-on toolbar to make navigation easier. A new floating action button (FAB) lets you quickly and easily add new items. The update brings new icons for categories and settings. Finally, version 6 comes with the beta version of 1Password for Teams that enables you to share passwords with teams. You can easily add your 1Password for Teams account using the built-in QR code reader.
