Few days before the official launch, several details about the upcoming flagship, LG G5 have surfaced. Back in December details about a “magic slot” on the device surfaced so that it could enable some functional expansion using modules. Later a mockup design sketch of the phone showed a removable battery, now Android Authority has got hold of a live image of the phone that shows off an extension module attached to the back of the phone.
Even though this looks like an external battery pack, this could be a projector module since it has a dial and volume rockers. Similar to this, LG might launch several expansion modules for the G5. This is the first time the company will be introducing expansion modules for its flagship smartphone.
LG recently confirmed Always ON display for the G5 and also introduced a Quick Cover case with touch function for the smartphone. Case maker Spigen’s teaser for a LG G5 case confirmed dual rear cameras for the smartphone.
