What to expect at MWC 2016 – FoneArena Daily

LG G5 announcement is first event at the MWC, which is set for tomorrow at 14:00 CET (6:30 PM IST). It is expected to pack a 5.3-inch Quad HD display along with a secondary ticker display, will pack a Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 processor, expected to come with 4GB / 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage with expansion slot, run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), pack Dual 16MP rear cameras with laser auto focus, dual-tone flash, 4K video recording, 8MP front-facing camera, Fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE connectivity, 2800mAh (removable) battery and a unique magic slot.

Huawei will host an event at the same time, where it is expected to introduce its Matebook hybrid Windows 10 laptop with a stylus.It expected to sport a 12.9-inch display, Intel processor and could even come with a detachable touch screen as it is said to be a hybrid laptop.

ZTE event is scheduled on the same day at 3:30 PM CET (8:00 PM IST), where it will announce a range of smart devices and also focus on key 5G technologies. It is also expected to introduce a new smartphone.

Samsung will finally take wraps of its flagship Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphone at its Galaxy Unpacked 2016 event at 19:00 CET (11:30 PM IST). The S7 is expected to pack a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED always-on, pressure sensitive display, while the S7 edge’s display is expected to be slightly larger at 5.5 inches with curved edges.

These are expected to pack 3000mAh and 3600mAh battery, respectively. Other rumored specifications include, Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 or Octa-Core Exynos 8 Octa 8890 processor, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, 32/64GB internal memory, expandable memory with microSD, Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), 12MP rear camera with LED Flash, OIS, 8MP front-facing camera, Heart rate sensor, Fingerprint sensor and IP67 ratings for water resistance.

Sony is expected to introduce Xperia VR headset at its Monday event at 8:30 AM CET (1PM IST).  Xperia Z5 Tablet and Xperia C6 smartphone are also expected at the event.

Lenovo, at its Monday event at 12:00 noon CET (4:30 PM IST) is expected to introduce the internal variant of the Lemon 3 smartphone. The phone packs a 5-inch 1080p IPS display, 450 nits brightness, is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 64-bit processor with Adreno 405 GPU, has 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage with expansion slot, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), has dual SIM support, 4G LTE connectivity, 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, 1080p video recording, 5MP front-facing camera and a 2750mAh battery.

Gionee, on the same day at its event at 2PM (6:30 PM IST) will unveil the Elife S8 smartphone. It is expected to pack a 5-inch 1080p display, Helio P10 Octa-Core SoC, 4GB of RAM, Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Amigo UI, 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Oppo, at its event on February 23rd at 10:00 AM CET (2:30 PM IST) is expected to introduce a camera-centric smartphone.

Xiaomi, at its MWC preview event on February 24th at 9:00 AM CET (1:30 PM IST) will introduce its flagship Mi 5 smartphone, after its China event at 14:00 (11:00 AM IST) on the same day. It is expected pack a 5.2-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, expandable memory, Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 7, Dual SIM support, 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, 8MP or 13MP front-facing camera, Fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C and a 3,600mAh non-removable battery.

ZOPO, at its event on the same day at 10:30 AM CET (3:00 PM IST) will introduce its Speed 8 smartphone, which will be the first phone to be powered by a 10-core Helio X20 processor.

Motorola already announced its VerveLife accessories, which it will display at the MWC show floor. LG will display X cam, X style and Stylus 2 smartphones that were introduced earlier this week. Cat phones will showcase its rugged Cat S60 phone with thermal camera, Meizu will show off the PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition, ARCHOS will display its Oxygen series of tablets50d OxygenDiamond 2 Notet and Diamond 2 Plus smartphones, and Volvo will demo Bluetooth-enabled keyless technology in its Cars.
