Google beefs up Search offering for ICC T20 World Cup 2016

Google is making it easy for die-hard cricket fans out there to keep a tab on all the action that is taking place at the ongoing ICC World T20 2016. The company is beefing up its Search offerings by adding new features related to Cricket to the Google app.

The new additions to the Google app offer score updates and match schedules in English and Hindi. Google Search will automatically offer scores at any point during the game, if you search for things like “Cricket score” or “T20 score”. The new Search experience also includes news articles related to games, teams and players, as well as score boxes with in-depth game statistics.

In addition, the app will provide you with match related information and if you ask “Ok Google, when is the next cricket match?” it will show you the schedule of upcoming games. It will even offer information about the date and time of a specific game which you are looking forward to. Just yesterday, Twitter rolled out new emojis for the T20 World Cup.
