Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 3 smartphone in India earlier this month starting at Rs. 9999. The smartphone went on sale earlier this week in the first flash sale on Mi.com and Amazon.in. The Redmi Note 3 packs a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, is powered by an Hexa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor and runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). There is a 5-megapixel camera on the front, above the display. We have the 2GB RAM with 16GB storage version, and the smartphone also comes in 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version.
It has a full metal body. There is SIM card tray on the left side with hybrid micro SIM slots with 4G support on both. The second SIM slot takes either a nano SIM or a microSD card. The phone also has an Infrared sensor on the top. On the back there is a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF). It is 8.65 mm thick and weighs 164 grams. Apart from Champagne Gold color, the smartphone also comes in Dark Grey and Silver colors.
