Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has invested in Internet of Things (IoT) firm Smartron. Besides being a strategic shareholder, he will also be the brand ambassador of the company.
The company which has R&D units in Bangalore and Hyderabad, has been operating since August 2014. It is set to launch a slew of smart devices and Internet of Things (IoT) products for consumer and enterprise markets in the first quarter of FY 2016-17. Smartron is headed by Founder & Chairman Mahesh Lingareddy who is also the Co-Founder and CEO of Soft Machines Inc., a US-based semiconductor company with operations in US, India, and Russia.
Smartron is pursuing the IoT wave by innovating in the areas of smart, sensor, robotics, artificial intelligence, cloud and big data technologies to bring next generation smart devices, services and care targeting consumer, enterprise, industrial and infrastructure markets.
Commenting on the association, Sachin said

Commenting on Sachin’s association with the company, Mahesh Lingareddy said,
