Meizu has scheduled an event on April 6th in China, the same day as the Huawei P9 event. The company is expected to introduce the m3 note, successor of last year’s m2 note. The teaser says it will be Pretty fast, thin, long-lasting, which hints at fast processor, sleek body and a huge battery.
According to a recent leak (Via) that reveals Meizu’s launch plans for 2016, the m3 note will come with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, similar to the m2 note, but this will come with a MediaTek Helio P10 SoC, 2GB of RAM and a 3200mAh battery. It is rumored to be priced at 799 yuan (US$ 122 / Rs. 8200 approx.) for 16GB variant and 999 yuan (US$ 153 / Rs. 10260 approx.) for 32GB variant.
The Meizu m3 note event takes place in Beijing National Convention Center on April 6th.
Meizu already announced that the upcoming flagship PRO 6 smartphone will be powered exclusively by MediaTek Helio X25 Deca-Core SoC, the new leak reveals that it will also have a variant that will be powered by the latest Samsung Exynos 8890 processor. Other rumored specifications include, 5.7-inch Quad HD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, 4GB / 6GB RAM, UFS 3.0 memory, mTouch 3.1 fingerprint sensor, Hi-Fi 3.0 sound, 3500mAh battery with 30W fast charging and NFC. It is rumored to be priced at 2799 yuan (US$ 430 / Rs. 28,750 approx.) for 32GB variant, 3099 yuan (US$ 475 / Rs. 31,830 approx.) for 64GB variant and 3499 yuan (US$ 537 / Rs. 35,940 approx.) for 128GB variant.
The Meizu PRO 6 mini is said to pack 4.7-inch 1080p screen, Helio X25 SoC, 4GB RAM, eMMC 5.1 storage, mTouch 3.1 fingerprint sensor and a 2800mAh battery. It is rumored to be priced at 2299 yuan (US$ 353 / Rs. 23,614 approx.) for 32GB variant, 2599 yuan (US$ 399 / Rs. 26,700 approx.) for 64GB variant and 2999 yuan (US$ 460 / Rs. 30,806 approx.) for 128GB variant.
The Meizu MX6 is said to pack all metal body, 5.5-inch 1080p display, Helio X20 SoC, 4GB RAM, mTouch 3.0 fingerprint sensor and a 3300mAh battery with 24W fast charging. It is rumored to be priced at 1799 yuan (US$ 276 / Rs. 18,480 approx.) for 16GB variant, 1999 yuan (US$ 306 / Rs. 20,530 approx.) for 32GB variant and 2299 yuan (US$ 353 / Rs. 23,614 approx.) for 64GB variant. There is also MX6 mini with a smaller 4.7-inch 1080p screen and a 2800mAh battery, other specifications remain unchanged and it will be 300 yuan cheaper.
The Meizu Blue Charm Metal 2 is said to pack a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, Helio X20 SoC, 3GB RAM, mTouch 3.0 fingerprint sensor and a 3200mAh battery with 18W fast charging. It is rumored to be priced at 999 yuan (US$ 153 / Rs. 10260 approx.) for the 16GB variant, 1199 yuan (US$ 184 / Rs. 12,318 approx.) for the 32GB variant and 1499 yuan (US$ 230 / Rs. 15400 approx. for the 64GB variant.
The entry-level Meizu m3 is said to pack a 5-inch HD screen and a 2800mAh battery. It is rumored to be priced at 599 yuan for the 16GB variant (US$ 92 / Rs. 6,150 approx.) and 799 yuan (US$ 122 / Rs. 8200 approx.) for 32GB variant.
