Google has updated Sheets and Slides app with a couple of improvements. Both the apps now support additional file formats.
In case of Sheets, you can now send a copy of or save a spreadsheet as an HTML web page file (provided in a .ZIP folder) from the Share & export menu. Moreover, you will be able to save the sheet you are currently viewing as a .CSV or .TSV file. Next up, the update will let you view Google Drawings in spreadsheets however it must be noted that Drawings will not be visible in frozen rows and columns.
Coming to Slides the update will let you send a copy or download the slide you are currently viewing as a .JPEG, .PNG, or .SVG file from the Share & export menu. Earlier in January, Google updated Docs, Sheets and Slide with real time commenting feature.
