Oculus has started shipping the first Rift for pre-orders, after nearly four years of crowdfunding, developer kits and acquisition by Facebook. It started taking pre-orders starting from January 6th and costs $599. Oculus already said that 30 VR games will be launching with Rift on March 28th.

The retail box includes the headset with built-in headphones and mic, sensor, and an Xbox One controller. It comes pre-loaded with two free games – Lucky’s Tale by Playful and Eve: Valkyrie. Ouclus recently started pre-orders for Oculus ready PC bundles teaming up with ASUS, Alienware, and Dell to make these PCs. These will be shipped in limited quantities to select countries and region some time in April.
Oculus already announced that the Rift will be initially shipping to Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States starting from next Monday.
