Reliance Communications was fortunate to win 3G spectrum in 13 circles including Mumbai and Delhi. To buy the 3G spectrum, the payment of Rs 8585.04 crores towards 3G Spectrum Fee was made to the Department of Telecommunications. Reliance is the first company to make such a payment and other Operators such as Airtel and Aircel are expected to follow soon.
The best part is that, RCOM won 3G spectrum in high growth “C” circles by paying less than 500 crores. Due to this it is the only company which has the pan India 3G capability in CDMA and with best coverage in WCDMA.
In 3G networks you will get the best digital quality voice clarity in local, STD, ISD and also in video conferencing. The internet speed will be so good that you can watch TV and get the latest sports updates and other useful things like music, news, cricket, bollywood, maps, search, etc. No buffering, no breaks, just swift and fast internet. Not only this, even best coverage will be provided in the areas like railway routes, national and state highways.
Reliance is betting big on 3G for sure. But will they live up to the expectation ? Only time will tell .
