This week Huawei’s Honor launched Hono 6X smartphone while Vivo launched V5 Plus with 20MP + 8MP dual front cameras. Check out all the announcements and launches from this week in our roundup.
Honor launched Honor 6X smartphone with a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 655 16nm processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with EMUI 4.1. It will get EMUI 5.0 based on Android 7.0 (Nougat) in Q2 2017.
It has a 12-megapixel camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), LED flash and a secondary 2-megapixel for achieving depth of field and background blur. It has a fingerprint sensor on the back that can unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds. It has unibody metal design and packs a 3,340mAh battery.
The Honor 6X comes in gold, silver and gray colors and is priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version, while the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs Rs. 15,999. Vivo launched the V5 Plus, selfie-focused smartphone that has a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with Sony IMX376 1/2.78″ sensor, f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel secondary font-facing camera for capturing depth information. It sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD In-Cell display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The phone is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor and comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory and runs Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has 16MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF. The Vivo V5 Plus comes in Golden color, is priced at Rs. 27,980 (MOP) and is already available for pre-order across India. It will be available starting from February 1st.
iBall launched Slide Nimble 4GF tablet that comes with a 4G LTE support. It has a 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex A53 processor, has 3GB of RAM and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with a single LED flash and 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
It also has dual SIM support with dual standby and packs a 4300mAh battery. It comes pre-loaded with MS Office. The iBall Slide Nimble 4GF comes in Golden colors, is priced at Rs. 9999 and is available from leading retail stores across India.
