Huawei TalkBand B3 fitness tracker goes official

Huawei has announced TalkBand B3, the successor for the TalkBand B2. The third generation fitness tracker/ smartwatch from Huawei will keep a tab on your daily activities, monitor sleep patterns and more.

It sports a curved PMOLED display with an 128×80 pixel resolution which is an upgrade over the AMOLED display on the TalkBand 2. It also has a Gorilla Glass on top to protect from scratches. The device syncs with your phone, tracks your health, and lets you make calls by talking directly into its dual microphones. TalkBand B3 features a curved touchscreen, which also uses an anti-fingerprint coating which will prevent smudges and scratches. It comes with Capsensor technology that identifies whether the device is on your wrist or not and tries to capture sleep patterns more accurately.

The TalkBand 3 is IP57 dust and water resistant. It features a 91mAh battery which according to Huawei lasts for 3-4 days or 6 hours of talk time. It automatically detects different activities like running, climbing, cycling, sleeping and so on. The device also doubles up as a Bluetooth headset that is light weight and water resistant. It features dual microphone design and offers hands free calling.

It comes in Active, Classic and Elite variants. As the name suggests, the Active model is targeted for using in the gym or wearing while jogging while the Classic is more formal device and sports a gold color and comes with leather wristbands. Finally, the Elite which sports Titanium Gray stainless steel is the more expensive of the lot. The Active variant is available in white and black while the Classic is available in Beige and Brown.

The Huawei TalkBand B3 costs €169 ($192) for Active model, €199 ($226) for Classic model and €249 ($283) for Elite model.
