Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge update brings camera improvements and bug fixes


Samsung Galaxy S7 April 2016 update

Samsung has rolled out a new update for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones in India that brings improvements to camera, haptic vibration, new mobile print plugin and also fixes several bugs in these smartphones. This is one of the major updates for these phones since the launch last month. Check out the complete changelog below.

Samsung Galaxy S7 edge April 2016 update

This update includes improvements to functions, new functions, and bug fixes as listed below.

  • Camera Improvements
    • A function is added to correct the minor distortion that is a characteristic of wide-angle lenses. This functionality is provided as an option in the camera.
    • The oversaturation of yellow that may occur in pictures taken in low-light conditions has been resolved.
  • Haptic vibration improvements
  • Added new feature
    • The Mobile Print plugin has been added
    • The CNN News Edge Panel (for the US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, India, South Africa, and the Phillipines) has been added. (Only for S7 edge)
  • Other bug fixes
    • Invalid input that sometimes resulted when lifting the finger off the screen after touch-scrolling has been resolved.
    • Invalid repetition of recent key input has been resolved.
    • An unscheduled rebooting error has been resolved
    • A network reconnecting error has been resolved
    • Data connection failures in running apps when Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are connected at the same time has been resolved.
    • The stopping of music played via a music streaming app when the user uses social media has been resolved.

The update (G930FXXU1APBH) for the Galaxy S7 is 253.20MB in size, while the update (G935FXXU1APBH) for the S7 edge is 164.97MB in size. The update also includes Android security update for April, 2016.
