LeEco announced Le 2, Le 2 Pro and Le Max 2 smartphones today at an event in China. We are live at the event and got or hands on all the three device. The Le 2 and Le 2 Pro sport the same design but come with different specifications. So let us take a detailed look at the hardware and specifications of both the phones in this photo gallery.
The Le 2 and Le 2 Pro sport a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, 500nits brightness, 80% NTSC color gamut. The former is powered by 2.3GHz MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU while the latter is powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 or X25 deca-core processor with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.
The Le 2 has comes with 3GB RAM while the Le 2 Pro come with 4GB RAM. Both the phones have 32GB (eMMC5.1) internal storage without expansion slot and run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with EUI 5.8.
Both the phones have 8MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.4μm pixel size, 76.5-degree wide-angle lens. The earpiece is at the center and comes with usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors.
Both the phones have three capacitive touch buttons on the bezel below the display.
The power/key and volume rockers are present on the right side of the phone.
On the left we have the Dual SIM card slot.
The USB Type C port is situated at the bottom with loud speaker grills present on the either side. One of the unique additions with the new LeEco phones is that all of them new Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) audio standard for loss-less audio through USB Type-C port and doesn’t have 3.5mm audio jack.
At the back the phone the Le 2 has a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. Both the phones come with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that is present just below the camera module.
Le 2 Pro has 21MP rear camera with dual-tone, LED flash, Sony IMX230 sensor, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens.
The new LeEco branding is present at the lower back of the phone. Both the devices measure 151.1 × 74.2 × 7.5mm and weighs 153g. Both of them have 3000mAh battery with support for fast charging. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE with voLTE, WiFi 802.11ac/a/b/g/n (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS.
The LeEco Le 2 is priced at 1099 yuan (US$ 169 / Rs. 11,230 approx.) and the Le 2 Pro is priced at 1399 yuan (US$ 216 / Rs. 14,300 approx.) for the Helio X20 version, 1499 yuan (US$ 230 / Rs. 15,320 approx.) Helio X25 version. These phones are be available for pre-order in China and will be go on sale starting from April 26th. No word on the global roll out yet.
