Amazon introduced Kindle Oasis, its 8th generation eReader with a leather charging cover last week. We got our hands on the device, here we have the unboxing of the WiFi + 3G variant.

The Kindle Oasis ha sthe same 6-inch display at 300 PPI pixel density seen in Kindle Voyage, but this has a redesigned built-in front light with 60% more LEDs. It is just 3.4mm at its thinnest point and weighs just 131 grams.
It has a physical page turn buttons and built-in accelerometer that automatically rotates the orientation to match if you using it on the left or right hand.
The bundled leather charging cover promises eight weeks of battery life (wireless off) and attaches to the Kindle securely. The charging connector is present on the back, but there is a separate micro USB slot on the top to charge the device and cover simultaneously while both are snapped together and plugged in. It has dual-battery system. As soon as you connect the cover to Kindle Oasis, the battery in the cover begins recharging Kindle Oasis automatically.
The Kindle Oasis is priced at Rs. 23,999 in India for the WiFi variant and Rs. 27,999 for the WiFi + 3G variant costs ($359.99 in the US with special offers). It is available for order from Amazon.in and ships from April 27th. We will bring you the complete review soon.
