It looks like Xiaomi is ready with a new fitness tracker. Lei Jun, Xiaomi co-founder and CEO has teased the next generation Mi Band 2 in couple of images.
As per the images, the Mi Band 2 sports a LCD display that shows time and most probably other statistics as well like daily steps, BPM and so on. Mi Bands have lacked a display and an inclusion of one is going to be welcomed by a lot of users out there. Along with the display, the Mi Band 2 is also rocking a round physical button.
In terms of design, the Mi Band 2 features a similar one as the first Mi Band and the Mi Band Pulse/1S. The device is fixed into the rubber strap and in this case a black one but, it might as well come in couple of different colors.
Since the device will have a display, it should be priced a bit higher than the current and previous Mi Bands. Earlier today Xiaomi confirmed that the it will make its upcoming phablet Max official on May 10. It is expected that the company might even announce the Mi Band 2 at the same event.
