Motorola’s Moto 360 first generation smartwatch will not be updated to the latest Android Wear version. The company has announced that the smartwatch will not receive the Android Wear 2.0 update.
The latest news comes directly from Motorola India’s Support Twitter account. Google had announced Android 2.0 at I/O conference last month with new design tweaks, features and more. The Moto 360 first gen was launched in 2014 and hence it is not compatible with latest Android update.
The first gen Moto 360 was recently updated with Android Wear 5.1.1 that included features such as always-on apps, emoji input, Wi-Fi connectivity, gesture support for UI navigation and media browsing. Meanwhile, Moto 360 second gen and Moto 360 Sport received an update last week with new features.
