Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 Android flip phone with Snapdragon 425 surfaces in benchmarks

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Folder, a clam-shell phone back in 2013. Last year it refreshed the series by launching a new Galaxy Folder Android flip phone in Korea. Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 (SM- G1600) appeared on zauba import listing earlier this month that showed that Samsung is testing the phone. Now the phone has appeared on GFXBench listing that reveals most of the specifications of the smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 rumored specifications

  • 3.8-inch (480 x 800 pixels) WVGA display
  • 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor with Adreno 308 GPU
  • 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, expandable memory with microSD
  • Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) OS
  • 8MP rear camera with LED Flash
  • 5MP front-facing camera
  • 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS

The Samsung Galaxy Folder was introduced in Korea in Black and White colors for 297,000 Korean Won (US$ 253  / Rs. 17,209 approx.), so the Galaxy Folder 2 is also expected to be announced for the Korean markets in the coming weeks. The second generation phone is expected to be cheaper.
