This week Samsung launched its budget large screen phablet Galaxy J Max, and its latest budget Galaxy J2 (2016) smartphone with new Smart Glow and features and Turbo Speed Technology (TST) in India.
The Galaxy J Max comes with a huge 7-inch WXGA screen and a 4000mAh battery that promises up to 9 hours of continuous use. It also comes with a Bluetooth headset in the box for making calls. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), has a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Galaxy J2 (2016) has a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, is powered by a quad-core processor, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.It comes with Ultra data saving (UDS) mode powered by Opera Max and S bike mode.
The Samsung Galaxy J Max comes in Black and Gold colors, is priced at Rs. 13400 and will go on sale in India through online and offline channels starting from July-end. The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) comes in Gold, Silver and Black colors, is priced at Rs. 9,750 and will go on sale from July 14 across all channels.
Notion Ink launched Able 10, the company’s latest Windows 10 2-in-1 with inbuilt 3G SIM support in India. It has a 10.1-inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS 10-point capacitive touch screen display along with a detachable magnetic aluminium keyboard with trackpad, is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom x5 processor, has a 2-megapixel front and rear cameras, packs 64GB of built-in storage with expansion slot and a 8100mAh battery.

Panasonic launched Eluga Note, the company’s latest top-end smartphone in the Eluga series. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p LTPS display, is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with FitHome UI. The Panasonic Eluga Note comes in Champagne Gold colors and is priced at Rs. 13,290. It will be be available through offline retailers across India.
Ringing Bells, markers of the most affordable and controversial Freedom 251 smartphone this week launched its 31.5-inch HD TV, 6 new phones, including 4 feature phones and 2 smartphones, and 3 power banks. The company will also start shipping the Freedom 251 phones for 5000 orders starting from July 8th. It will ship the rest 2 lakh units after tracking feedback from these orders. The company claims that the final retail unit of the Freedom 251 will be better than the prototype that was shown off during the launch.
The company did not reveal the specifications of the HD LED TV. It is priced at Rs. 9,990 and the company will start shipping it from August 15th. It will start taking orders for it soon and the payments can be done by cash-on-delivery.
The four feature phones include – Hit, King, Boss and Raja that are priced at Rs. 699, Rs. 899, Rs. 999 and Rs. 1099, respectively. The Android smartphones are Elegant and Elegance that are priced at Rs. 3,999 and Rs. 4,499, respectively. Both the phones have the same design that resemble the LG G5 on the front.
The Ringing Bells RB Power 4000mAh, RB Power Plus 5500mAh and RB Smart 8000mAh power banks are priced at Rs. 399, Rs. 499 and Rs. 699, respectively.
TCL launched TCL 560, the company’s latest smartphone with an Eye Verify technology, which is a Eyeprint identification method for password-free eye-based unlocking solution. It has a 5.5-inch HD screen, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 210 SoC and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera that also has LED flash to capture better images in low lighting conditions.

ConveGenius and Lenovo in partnership launched edutainment (Education and Entertainment) solution dubbed CG Slate for Grades K-5 with NCERT curriculum for Indian kids.
It is the same Lenovo Tab 2 A7-20 loaded with educational content targeted for B2B clients, which include State Governments, large NGOs and learning centers.
The Lenovo CG Slate comes in Ebony color and is priced at Rs. 8,499, but the first 1000 tablets will be available at an offer price of Rs. 7,499 exclusively from Flipkart.
Kingston launched MobileLite Wireless G3 and MobileLite Wireless Pro, two new additions to its Wireless family. Both these have USB ports and SD card slots so that you can access data from them wirelessly over Wi-Fi (dual-band 802.11ac) using the MobileLite app for Android and iOS.
The Kingston MobileLite Wireless G3 packs a 5400mAh battery and the MobileLite Wireless Pro offers battery life of up to 12 hours with the built-in Li-ion 6,700mAh battery. The MobileLite Wireless Pro also packs 64GB of storage.
The Kingston MobileLite Wireless G3 is priced at Rs. 4999 (MRP) and the MobileLite Wireless Pro is priced at Rs. 8,999 (MRP). Both are available through online and retail storage and are backed by a two-year warranty.
Swipe launched X703, the company’s latest tablet exclusively on Snapdeal. It has a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
It also has dual-SIM support and 3G connectivity. Even though this doesn’t have an earpiece, it supports voice calling over headset or speaker. The Swipe X703 comes in white color, is priced at Rs. 7,499 and is exclusively available from Snapdeal.
Intex launched Aqua Power 4G, the company’s latest budget 4G smartphone with a 3800mAh battery. It has a 5-inch HD screen, is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 8-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 2-megapixel rear camera.
The Intex Aqua Power 4G comes in champ golden and deep blue colors and is priced at Rs. 6,399.

Samsung introduced Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition, just in time for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Samsung is the Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Wireless Communications Equipment category for the Olympics and will deliver 12,500 Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition and Gear IconX to all Rio 2016 Olympians.
The 2016 Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition smartphones will be available in Brazil, United States, China, Germany and Korea starting from July 18th.
Samsung also introduced Galaxy Wide (SM-G600S), the company’s latest 4G smartphone in Korea. It has similar specifications as the Galaxy On7 that was launched last year that includes a 5.5-inch HD screen, 1.2GHz quad-core SoC and a 3000mAh battery, but this has 2GB of RAM and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).
The Samsung Galaxy Wide comes in Black and White colors and is priced at 319,000 Korean Won (US$ 275 / Rs. 18570 approx.), which is costly compared to the Galaxy On7.
Google and Sharp announced 507SH the first waterproof and dustproof Android One smartphone. It has a 5-inch HD IGZO 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 13.1-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Sharp 507SH comes in Blue, Black and White colors and would be available through Y! Mobile in Japan by the end of July. No word on the price yet.
LG introduced X5 and X Skin, two new smartphones in the X series in Korea, along with the X Power that went official last month. Both the X5 and X Skin smartphones are powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core SoC, run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and have 4G LTE connectivity. The X Skin was announced for LG U + last month. Both the phones have a sleek, light-weight body.
The LG X5 and X Power come in White and Indigo Black colors and are priced at 200,000 Korean won (US$ 173 / Rs. 11,675 approx.) each. The LG X Skin comes in Gold and Titanium colors and is priced at 231,000 Korean won (US$ 200 / Rs. 13,485 approx.).
ZTE introduced nubia N1 in China with a 5000mAh battery that promises up to 3 days of battery life with moderate use. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with nubia UI 4.0, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) for quick focus in 0.2 seconds, and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.
The ZTE nubia N1 comes in Gold and Silver colors and is priced at 1699 yuan. It will be available in China through the official online store soon.
Acer has announced TravelMate X349 Windows 10 notebook under the TravelMate X3 series. It sports a 14 inch Full HD IPS display and is made of all-aluminum chassis with brushed metal design.
It has a sleek design and is 18mm thin and weighs 1.53kg. The notebook can be configured upto 6th Generation Intel Core processors, 8GB DDR4 memory and 512GB SSDs. DDR4 memory and SSDs. The TravelMate X349 will be available in America in October with prices starting at $649.99.
Lastly, the popular networking products manufacturer TP-LINK introduced Neffos Y5L, the fourth smartphone in the Neffos series after the C5L, C5 and C5 Max smartphones that were unveiled earlier this year. This is a budget phone with a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snadpragon 210 SoC and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
The TP-LINK Neffos Y5L comes in white, black and yellow colors and will roll out soon in Europe West and East, South Asia and South East and the Middle East and Africa.
