Google is out with Android distribution numbers for the month of July. As per latest chart, Android 6.0 Marshmallow is now present on 13.3% of all Android devices, up from 10.1% since June.
Marshmallow had debuted the distribution chart in November 2015 with a share of 0.3% that was 0.7% earlier in January. Lollipop continues to be the most widely used version of Android at 35.1%, down from 35.4% from last month. KitKat has decreased slightly from 31.6% to 30.1% while Jelly Bean is at 17.8%, down from 18.9%. Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread are at 1.7% and 1.9% respectively. Surprisingly Froyo is still present on just 0.1% of all Android devices.
These numbers are compiled from Android devices that accessed the Play Store in a seven-day period ending on July 11, 2016.
