Google will soon bring manual exposure control back to the Camera app, according to a latest report from Android Police. The exposure control appears when you tap the screen to focus.
The manual exposure will come to the stock Google Camera app via an update. The app gets a exposure slider when you tap on the screen to autofocus on a subject. Google had introduced manual exposure controls into the camera app with the first developer preview of Android N however, the but the feature was taken down in later releases. Manual camera controls are available in many third-party apps but having it in the Camera app is quite helpful.
Along with manual exposure, Google will also bring small tweaks in the Camera app with additional photo grid options that are now present on the top viewfinder screen with a toggle up the corner. Tapping on the button will show a mini-menu that will let you select from any of the four grids or disable it completely.
Last month, Google released final Android 7.0 Nougat preview and the latest version of the OS will come out this month.
