Datawind has launched PocketSurfer GZ, its latest budget smartphone running Linux operating system for Rs. 1499. Datawind had partnered with Reliance Communications last year. As a part of this, the phone comes bundled with RCOM’s service offerings that will allow users to enjoy free Internet access for a year.
Datawind said that the phone will come with a touch screen and feature a rear camera with flash. It did not share complete specifications of the phone.
Commenting on the latest affordable smartphone, Suneet Singh Tuli, CEO of DataWind, said:
