Samsung has slashed the prices of its flagship Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in India ahead of the Galaxy Note 7 rollout which starts from September 2nd.
The new price for the 32GB Samsung Galaxy S7 is now Rs 43,400 on Flipkart and Amazon, which is a drop of Rs 5,500 from the launch price of Rs 48,900. Also, the new price of 32GB Galaxy S7 edge has also slashed by Rs. 6,000 and is now Rs. 48,900 as compared to the launch price of Rs 56,900. Although, Samsung’s online store is still showing the old launch prices and we believe that it will also be reflected at earliest.
Both these were first announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and a week later launched in India in March.
The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge features a 5.1-inch and a 5.5-inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED always-on display, respectively. Indian variant of these smartphones are backed up by an Octa-Core Exynos 8 Octa 8890 SoC, and not the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset.
Both the smartphones have been much appreciated worldwide for its water proof design and camera performance especially. In March, a report by Korea Times had claimed that the two Galaxy flagships also exceeded sales expectations for Samsung in 2016 than last year’s flagship Galaxy S6 and S6 edge.
