Twitter is reportedly working on keyword filtering tool to fight abuse

Twitter has been striving to curb and fight abuse on its platform from couple of years. Now, the micro blogging platform is going one step further and is developing an anti-harassment tool, according to a latest report from Bloomberg.

The new tool will allow users to block certain keywords and tweets that comprises of slangs, racial slurs on Twitter. As per the sources from the report, Twitter has been discussing the tool internally for about a year. The move comes from Twitter as controlling abuse and harassment on Twitter has become the top most priority of CEO Jack Dorsey. The micro blogging platform has spent the past few months consulting with an outside council of anti-harassment groups about its strategy for addressing the issue.

Last month, Instagram started rolling out comment moderation tool for users to filter comments with certain words that are not appropriate.
