Moto Z Play with 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 625, Moto Mods support announced

Moto Z Play, the company’s latest mid-range Moto Z series smartphone just went official. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 SoC and runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, laser autofocus, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera that also has LED flash.

It has support for Moto Mods, similar to the other Moto Z smartphones. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the front.

The Moto Z Play comes in Black,Silver,Black Slate, White, Fine Gold and Sugar White colors, is priced at US $449.99 (Rs. 30,123 approx.) and available globally beginning in September. In Europe it will be available for 499 Euros. In the US it will be available on Motorola.com and Verizon as Moto Z Play Droid Edition for $408 ($17/month) on September 8.
