Samsung has delayed shipments for its recently launched Galaxy Note 7 flagship due to a major technical issue. The South Korean smartphone maker has halted distribution of the Note 7 amid reports of exploding batteries.
According South Korea-based news agency Yonhap News, a total of five Note 7 owners have reported their units suddenly catching fire and Samsung has therefore completely shut down the shipments. The exact reason of phones catching fire is not known. Photos of the burnt Note 7 devices have been popping on social media sites. The Korean Herald reports that Samsung is investigating the matter and may release the results of that investigation soon.
