Here’s what to expect from Apple’s iPhone 7 event

Apple is all geared up for its event tonight (IST) where it will take wraps off the next generation of products. The company is expected to announce the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and Apple Watch 2 at the event that is happening in San Francisco. Let’s take a look at what to expect from the event:

iPhone 7

The iPhone 7 will sport a similar design to iPhone 6s with minor tweaks here and there. One of the major changes in the design will be the lack of 3.5mm headphone jack. Apple is expected to offer a cleaner look at the back of the phone by streamlining the antenna design. In case of camera, the iPhone 7 will likely feature the same 12MP camera as iPhone 6s but will come with additional improvements like image stabilization, better low light photography. It will also sport a large camera module. Another major upgrade with the iPhone 7 is that Apple will ditch the base 16GB variant in favor of the 32GB variant. Finally, it will come with pressure sensitive home button and 1960mAh battery.

iPhone 7 Plus

The iPhone 7 Plus is rumored to feature 12-megapixel dual-camera sensors, while both models are expected to feature a larger camera module. It is expected to pack 3GB of RAM and 2910mAh battery. Apple will offer both the iPhone 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB variants.

Apple Watch 2

Along with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the company will also unveil Apple Watch 2. There will be no design changes for the next generation Apple Watch. Although it will not come with cellular connectivity, it will support GPS. It will also boast of other improvements and enhanced health tracking. The Apple Watch 2 is expected to come with barometer, superior waterproofing, and a higher capacity battery. It is also expected that Apple Watch 2 will sport a thinner One Glass solution display.

AirPods

Earlier today Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities stated that Apple will introduce high-end wireless earbuds known as AirPods that will come with own designed Bluetooth-like communication chip.

Along with the aforementioned products, Apple may also share details about macOS Sierra, tvOS 10, watchOS 3 and App Store tweaks.
