ZTE Axon 7 Hands on and Photo Gallery

ZTE announced Axon 7 smartphone in China last month and now it is available for pre-orders in several European countries. We are live at IFA Berlin and got our hands on the phone, so let’s take a look at hardware and specifications in detail.

The ZTE Axon sports a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by a quad-Core Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor with Adreno 530 GPU. Running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with MiFavor UI 4.0 on top, the phone comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD.

At the front it has 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, 88-degree wide-angle lens. It sports dual front facing (AK4961) stereo speaker which offers rich audio quality.

The second stereo speaker (AK4490) is present on the bezel below the display. It has rounded edges.

The right houses power button and volume rockers.

The left side sports a Hybrid Dual SIM (nano+nano/microSD) slot. It measures 151.7×75×7.9mm and weighs 185g.

A USB Type C port and primary microphone is present at the bottom.

The top houses 3.5mm audio jack and secondary microphone.

At the back the phone has a 20MP rear camera with dual LED Flash, 4K video recording, PDAF, OIS, f/1.8 aperture. Also present is a fingerprint sensor just below the camera module.

The phone has a unibody metal design that feels premium and offers good grip. There are antenna bands at the top and bottom on the back. Also present is a ZTE branding.

Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C. It has a 3250mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0
