Announced at WWDC earlier this year, the latest release of Apple’s desktop & laptop operating system has now been scheduled for 20th September. While the company has been running a public beta for macOS Sierra as it is dubbed for a while now, we’ll finally see a full fledged roll out over the next few weeks.
The latest desktop operating system retires the number based nomenclature we’ve always seen. As Apple works to bridge the capability gap between it’s full fledged computers and phone, tablet operating systems, expect to see a lot of features borrowed from iOS.
The biggest of these will be compatibility with Siri. The operating system will also bring enhanced interoperability with the iPhone and Apple Watch. You will be able to unlock your Mac using your watch, experience a unified clipboard based on iCloud and use Apple Pay to well, make payments. The rollout begins 20th September.
