Apple’s newly launched iPhone 7 comes with Lightning EarPods and according to several reports, they are suffering from a serious glitch. Users are apparently not able to control volume on their device once the EarPods are plugged into the lightning port.

The audio continues to play, but the volume control dongle stops working which does not let you activate Siri or answer calls.  The glitch does not seem to be affecting every product, however Apple has acknowledged the issue and has announced that it is working on a fix. An Apple spokesperson told Business Insider that it will release a software update to fix the issue. The reason the glitch is not known as of now.

Apple is shipping a pair of EarPods with iPhone 7 and 7 Plus as it has removed the 3.5mm headphone jack on these smartphones.  Besides the Lightning EarPods issue, Apple users have reported a hissing problem on the new iPhones, and it is being blamed on the A10 Fusion chipset.
