Reliance Jio has created a wave in the telecom industry thanks to its Welcome Offer that allows free data and calls till December 31, 2016. This offer has received an overwhelming response and people have been queuing in front of Reliance Digital and Digital Xpress stores in order to get a SIM. However, it looks like Reliance Jio is making it easier for customers to get their hands on the SIM card.
According to a latest report from Telecom Talk, Reliance Jio is working on offering home delivery of SIM cards to its customers. The company is expected to launch a portal for registration where prospective customers will have to fill in basic information, such as full name, address, identity and address proof and other details. After filling the form, Reliance Jio 4G SIM card would be delivered to the applicant’s address within 5-7 working days which is better than waiting in line for hours.
The report goes on saying that the company has already tested the service with limited users and will soon make it available in metro cities. Reliance Jio has not yet confirmed about its plan to launch the online portal for SIM card home delivery.
