Xiaomi unveiled Redmi Note 4, it’s latest mid-range smartphone in the Redmi Note series in China last month. Even though it is yet to launch in India, we managed to get one from Gearbest. Here is the unboxing.

The Redmi Note 4 has a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display with up to 72% NTSC color gamut and 1000:1 contrast ratio. Powered by a Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X20 SoC with Mali-T880MP4 GPU, this runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box, which is upgradable to MIUI 8. It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens.
On the back there is a 13-megapixel camera with PDAF, dual-tone LED Flash and f/2.0 aperture, along with a fingerprint sensor
It has brushed metal body with chamfered edges and also comes in 3GB RAM with 64GB storage version apart from the 2 GB RAM with 16GB storage version we have here. It has a Hybrid Dual SIM slot that lets you use the second SIM as an expansion slot when required and 4G VoLTE support. It packs a 4100mAh battery, similar to the Redmi Note 3.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 also comes in Gold and Gray colors and is priced at 899 yuan (US$ 134 / Rs. 8970 approx.) for the 2GB RAM with 16GB storage version and 1199 yuan (US$ 179 / Rs. 11,970 approx.) for the 3GB RAM with 64GB storage version in China.
